You may have noticed our new emergency response vehicle, thanks to grants from Bodega Bay Fisherman's Festival, and Sonoma County Fire Advisory Council we were able to purchase our new Utility Terrain Vehicle (UTV)  A UTV is a proven vehicle to access tight areas and rural areas. This vehicle enhances our ability to access, assess, treat and extricate victims from these areas. Also allows us to access and mitigate fires in areas where large fire engines cannot gain access, like the rural ranches and trails in western Sonoma County and access public managed properties, parks, trails in our response area. This rig is also available for mutual aid responses to Bodega Bay to access the beaches and areas around the Estero Americano. The UTV is capable of carrying 3 volunteer firefighters or 2 victims, carries 60 gallons of water with a 180 GPM pump. It also carries a cache of rescue and firefighting tools.
